Due to the update of the conditions of admission of arriving passengers to Iran, the Covid-19 testing time was shortened from 96 to 72 hours before the flight.
By decision of the Ministry of Health and the National Anti-Coronavirus Headquarters, it was mandatory for all arriving and departing passengers with a departure and destination in Iran to have a negative PCR test result valid for 72 hours before the flight.
The statement of some Iranian airlines also stressed: All passengers (Iranian and foreign nationals) who apply for entry into Iran must present a negative Covid-19 certificate in English, and if it is not presented in English, the certificate and the health status of the passenger must be approved by the consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the country of origin. Failure to comply with this decree will prevent foreign nationals from entering Iran.
Iranian nationals who have not passed the PCR test will be tested for the Covid-19 at Iranian airports and must remain in a designated quarantine zone until the test results are announced. If a passenger tests positive, they must stay in the quarantine zone for 14 days. All accommodation and testing costs are borne by the passengers.
