Estakhrgah small village is situated in Rudbar city, 75 kilometers from Rasht, at the foot of Dorfak mountain and surrounded by dense woods. Estakhrgah means “pool area” in Persian. Two magnificent ponds, one on the east side and the other on the west, could be found in this settlement. The pool on the village’s east side serves as a storage facility for the village’s agricultural grounds. Dafraz, Palang Darreh, Dasht-e Veyl, Peshtehan, Chere, and Si Dasht are just a few of the communities around this village. Estakhrgah Village is chilly, cold, and foggy throughout all seasons due to its position in the center of the forest.
Awe-inspiring attractions of Estakhrgah Village
One of the remarkable features of Estakhrgah Village is a magnificent tiny waterfall that flows from the foot of Dorfak mountain into the heart of the village’s virgin woodlands. An ancient village house with traditional architecture in the village’s center is another attraction in the vicinity. The name of the settlement is derived from the lovely swimming pool. Mirza Mountain, which is a wonderful spot for climbing, is at the top of this pool. Dorfak Mountain, Gilan’s roof, adds to the village’s splendor.
Dorfak Mountain used to be an active volcano, but today it’s as peaceful as Gilan’s evenings! Summer is the greatest season to visit Estakhrgah Village since the roads are open and the weather is beautiful. This settlement has its charms in the winter, however, the routes to the village are sometimes closed owing to the cold weather. In the spring, the pool becomes one of Iran‘s greenest spots, and you’ll get a sense of the village’s freshness and vibrancy. This settlement also has a particular charm throughout the fall of a thousand colors.
The village’s main entry point
Estakhrgah Village may be reached through a pretty simple road from Dafraz of Rudbar. You must go down the Rasht road to get there. The city of Tutkabon is around 70 kilometers from Rasht and is in the vicinity of Rostam Abad. The city’s entry is on the right side, along the Dafraz summer path, which is part of the Dorfak mountain’s slopes. From here until Defraz, there isn’t much to see, but the route is steep and rugged. You will reach Dafraz along the way after twenty minutes, and a little higher on the left side of a dirt road with a steep curve will lead you to Estakhrgah. A little pond full of playful frogs and their frequent plunge into the pond while walking beside the pond is one of Estakhrgah’s natural marvels.
