General information about the Historical House of Bagheriha
Among the remaining historical monuments in the city, the historical house of Bagheriha is one of the largest and most valid examples. This building, which is more than 150 years old, is located in the Sarcheshmeh neighborhood of Gorgan and its antiquity dates back to the Qajar and the early Pahlavi period. The area of this building is 1950 square meters, and the structure has benefited from the atmosphere of houses in the north of Iran, with gable roofs covered with abundant pottery. In the middle of the courtyard of each part of this house, beautiful pools are designed with running water that brings freshness and life to habitants. The historical house of Bagheriha has 7 courtyards, which include two inner courtyards (Andarouni), two outer courtyards (Birouni), a kitchen courtyard, a porch courtyard, and more, which all connect the house to the outside in four ways. This palace was registered as one of the national historical houses of Iran on October 7, 2000, with the registration number 2803.
The historical house of Bagheriha (Sarai Bagheri) is one of the landmarks in the historical context of Gorgan and is a valuable example of indigenous residential architecture in the city. This building is located between Na’lbandan and Sarcheshmeh neighborhoods and on the southern margin of one of the main and passable passages of the old Gorgan, a passage that connects Na’lbandan’s bazaar and its Tekyeh to Imamzadeh Noor building and the Sarcheshmeh Tekyeh. In the hot and sultry summers of Gorgan, the interior of this house creates suitable conditions for the environmental comfort of the residents. That is why this house was planned in such a great way.
